It's been a hectic last few months from research travel to Manila/Bataan Peninsula, (combined with travel aimed at making connections with artists in Singapore, Saigon and Rome), interviews with family about American-ness and our immigration story. I returned to the states realizing that I have so many more questions to ask. I've spent five wonderful weeks at Yaddo in order to fully sink into this conversation and have a few projects in the works that I'm really proud of. Also, after ten years teaching at James Madison University, I've accepted a position at Maryland Institute College of Art teaching in the Animation Department. I'm so excited to contribute towards this community. More to come on a few shows...
